Ferrari: net profit soars (+46%) and the stock is back above 100 euros

Ferrari hits and exceeds 2018 targets – Adjusted net profit up 20%, adjusted ebitda and ebit up sharply, debt down – 2019 revenues expected to exceed €3,5 billion and an Ebit up by 6% – The stock, which started in the negative, begins to run, gaining over 2%

Ferrari: net profit soars (+46%) and the stock is back above 100 euros

Net income flies and the stock accelerates on the stock market. Ferrari closed 2018 with a net profit of 787 million euros, up 46% on 2017 and a adjusted net profit up 20%. Stable i Net revenues, which settled at 3,42 billion euros (+0,1%). In sharp rise theadjusted ebitda which grew by 8% to 1,114 billion, with the margin at 32,6% from 30,3% at the end of 2017, while theadjusted ebit it settled at 825 million, an increase of 6% compared to the previous year.

THEdiluted eps is €4,14 (+47%) and adjusted diluted EPS is €3,40 (+21%). down theindustrial debt, which fell from 473 million at the end of 2017 to 440 million today.

As regards sales, the prancing horse delivered 9.251 cars (+10,2% compared to the previous year). This result was driven by a 19,6% increase in sales of 12-cylinder (V12) models, while 8-cylinder (V8) models increased by 7,3%.

The data published today testify that all targets for the year were met or exceeded.

In reference to the solo fourth quarter 2018, Ferrari recorded net revenues of 845 million euros (+1% on 2017), with 2.398 cars delivered (+19%). The quarterly adjusted net profit was equal to 191 million (+40%), the adjusted ebitda of 274 million (+6%), and the adjusted ebit of 195 million (+1%).

For 2019 Ferrari expects revenues above 3,5 billion euros and an Ebit up 6% between 850 and 900 million. Adjusted EBITDA is expected to be between €1,2 and €1,25 billion, up approximately 10% on 2018 results. Adjusted diluted EPS is expected to be between €3,50 and €3,70, with a growth of around 6% on 2018. Finally, industrial free cash flow is expected to be around 450 million euros (+10%).

At Piazza Affari, the Ferrari title, which first of all travels down by about a percentage point, reverses course and begins to rise again until it breaks through again the 100 euro per share, last seen on 22 January. At 16.25 the shares gained 9,18% to 106,8 euros.
