Ferragamo takes off on the Stock Exchange: the hypothesis of a sale are rekindled

Salvatore Ferragamo e Fiat Chrysler are the two superstars of this week's start on the Milan Stock Exchange, in a positive context on the market Ftse Eb after four consecutive weeks of declines. By mid-morning, the main index of Piazza Affari was up 0,6%, just above 19 points, after registering +1,8% at the start. More than the downgrade arrived from Moody's, widely expected, in the eyes of investors what counts is the choice of the rating agency to keep the outlook on our country stable. It means that, at least in the short term, no deterioration is expected. A prospect that did well also at the Btp-Bund spread.

In this picture, the overbearing rise of Salvatore Ferragamo: +7,4%, to 20,94 euros, by far the best performance on the Ftse Mib. The Florentine fashion house had already gained 6,2% last week and is continuing to recover today after the decline which on 15 October had brought prices to 18,17 euros, the lowest since the same month in 2016 (although in recent weeks volatility has dominated the entire luxury sector). In particular, speculation on the stock is inflamed by the hypothesis of a sale of the company, considered more likely after the recent death of Wanda Ferragamo, honorary president of the company and progenitor of the parent family.

Day in sharp rise also for fca, which in the same minutes gained 5%, to 14,11 euros per share. In this case, it is the news of the stock that triggers the sales of the title maxi sale of Magneti Marelli to the Japanese of Calsonic Kansei, controlled by the American fund Kkr, for 6,2 billion dollars. Exor, unlike what was expected, will not keep any share of the company. A significant change of course compared to the strategies of Sergio Marchionne, who had repeatedly reiterated that he never wanted to leave Magneti. The new Marelli Calsonic Kansei will have a turnover of 15,2 billion euros, a total of 200 production plants worldwide and research and development centers in Europe, Japan and America.
