FederPetroli Italia begins the investment plan and focuses entirely on the storage and supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG), an energy source with few CO2 emissions and fewer pollutants.
“We have done nothing but listen to and collect the discontent of the Italian companies that have invested in LNG – said the President of FederPetroli Italia, Michele Marsiglia -. A discontent due to a stalemate of the numerous ministerial tables, we have no more time to waste. The moment was now ripe for the development and focus of FederPetroli Italia on LNG, after a period of observation on what would have been the development of liquefied natural gas in Europe and in particular in our country".
FederPetroli Italia has been developing interest in this clean and cheaper gas for some years now, in dialogue with local administrations. According to a statement from the company, the formation of the LNG Table will bring together suppliers and important players on the national and international market: plants and infrastructures, cryogenic tanks, logistics and storage, procurement and others involved in the development process, all around the same table to discuss and collect expressions of interest in upcoming investments in Italy.
“In primis – explains Marseille – the domestic networks will be developed in those Municipalities and Mountain Areas still without methane and not served by a national network of gas pipelines. The development plan will continue with the installation of systems for automotive use on the fuel and industrial network, with great savings for company fleets and vehicles”.
