Federer is also king on the stock market with hi-tech sneakers

For all his millions of fans around the world, the best thing would be to see him still competitive on the pitch, but unfortunately age is advancing and so Roger Federer, considered by many to be the greatest tennis player ever, decided that the time had come to become champion in a sector more suited to a 40-year-old full of aches and pains and with over twenty years of triumphs behind him. Thus, the Swiss champion has launched himself into a challenge that will lead him to ring the famous bell of Wall Street: the Swiss company On, of which he is a shareholder with a share of approximately 12,5%, is in fact about to be listed on the US stock exchange, with a potential valuation, according to some financial institutions, of 8 billion dollars. This will ensure that Federer, who certainly has no shortage of money and records, is preparing to establish yet another record: at the end of 2020 he was credited with personal assets of 420 million euros, thanks to his successes with the racket and the very rich sponsorships, but now his new career as an entrepreneur and man of finance will allow him to cross the billion mark.

Making him enter by right into the very restricted circle of sportsmen (or ex) billionaires, catching up with the likes of LeBron James, who reached the billion dollar mark with just his lifetime endorsement deal with Nike, not to mention everything else. Federer's goose that lays the golden eggs is instead a company founded in Zurich 10 years ago, which from a promising startup has become an internationally established reality: On produces high-tech running shoes and sells them in 6.500 stores in 50 countries. To create the "perfect" running shoe, it took the experience of three former athlete friends, two of whom were triathlon champions, and a lot of innovation: in addition to CloudTec technology, these sneakers that claim to give the feeling of running on clouds they also use Speedboard and Helion super foam and for cushioning, also designed and patented in Switzerland.

However, Federer also put his own into it, not only in the capital but also in the actual product: the tennis player personally participated in the creation of four models of shoesboth for men and women. These are The Roger Pro, which is a high-performance tennis shoe, and The Roger Clubhouse, The Roger Advantage and The Roger CentroCourt, which are instead city sneakers but inspired by the world of tennis. The collections are also available online on the On website, with prices ranging from 150 to 200 euros. This is Roger Federer's new life: new, but always as a King.
