After the sharp slowdown recorded at the turn of August, the US central bank has taken over a slight improvement in the US economy during the month of September.
This is what can be deduced from Beige Book, the periodic report on the state of health of the main economic districts of the country published by the Fed. "The economic activity as a whole continued to grow in September" notes the Fed, but the recovery is only “modest” or “light” in most regions.
The Fed also notes an easing of cost pressures after the hikes of recent months the job market still remains in difficulty which registers hirings that are blocked or in any case still slow.
