Paolo Carmassi is the new managing director, Alessandro Nasi will hold the position of president

In view of the listing on the Stock Exchange, Comau's new top management arrives. Paolo Carmassi will be the new managing director of the Fiat Chrysler subsidiary which deals with industrial automation for the automotive industry, while Alessandro Nasi will assume the position of president.

Carmassi, recalls Fca in a note, joins Comau after spending four years at the helm of Malvern Panalytical (Spectris) and having held the position of head of the EMEA area of Honeywell.

Alessandro Nasi instead joined the Fiat Group in 2005, after various professional experiences in the banking and finance sector. Nasi also held positions of responsibility in Fiat Powertrain Technologies, the Engines and Powertrains division of the Fiat Group, and in CNH Industrial. Currently, he is a board member of CNH Industrial and Exor and president of Iveco Defense Vehicles.

“The appointments of Carmassi and Nasi – he explains FCA CEO Mike Manley – represent an important step forward for Comau in preparing for its new life as a listed company. We are particularly happy to welcome Paolo, who brings with him a significant wealth of experience to guide Comau in this new phase of its development as a trusted partner to help companies seize the opportunities offered by Industry 4.0”.

It should be emphasized that, according to what was announced by Fiat Chrysler, in December, following the marriage with Psa, Comau's stake will be distributed for the benefit of the shareholders of the new group.

At Piazza Affari, the FCA group earns 2% at 8,105 euros, beating the performance of the Ftse Mib which was up 1,2% to 18.422 points in the mid-afternoon.
