FCA: today shareholders' meeting for spin-off of Ferrari

Ferrari divorces from FCA. Today in Amsterdam the extraordinary meeting of the Fiat Chrysler shareholders to resolve on the demerger of the Maranello company, which was listed on Wall Street in October and will land on the Milan Stock Exchange at the beginning of 2016. The Ferrari NV shares still held by FCA will be transferred to Fe Interim BV, a new Dutch company, which in January will distribute the share to the holders of Fiat Chrysler shares and convertible bonds. 

Today's is therefore a technical step, but it comes at a stage that could be crucial for the future of the group led by Sergio Marchionne, looking for a new global partner (General Motors in the first row).

On the other hand, before the spin-off is concluded FCA will collect from Ferrari an additional dowry with respect to the proceeds of the IPO (almost 900 million dollars). In fact, last Monday Ferrari announced that it had opened a 10 billion euro credit line with 2,5 banks, two of which will be used "to refinance the debt to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (Fca), to repay other debts and for other business needs. Resources that will help FCA finance the 48 billion euro industrial plan.
