The group has recalled 1,9 million cars over airbag and seatbelt defects that could have caused three deaths and five injuries

FCA recalls almost two million cars for defective airbags and seat belts. This was announced by the group in a statement, explaining that it is aware of three deaths and five injuries "potentially" related to this problem.

Specifically, the recall affects 1,9 million cars sold between 2010 and 2014 primarily in the United States (1,4 million vehicles), Canada (142.959) and Mexico (81.901). The other 284.051 recalled cars were sold outside North America.

The models involved are the following:

— 2010 Chrysler Sebring

— 2010 Chrysler Cirrus

— 2011-2014 Chrysler 200

— 2010-2012 Dodge Caliber

— 2010-2014 Dodge Avenger

— 2010-2014 Jeep Patriot

— 2010-2014 Jeep Compass

— 2012-2013 Lancia Flavia.
