FCA, Marchionne: no impact from diesel investigations

For 2017 FCA has set a target of net revenues between 115 and 120 billion euros, an adjusted Ebit over 7 billion, an adjusted net profit over 3 billion and a net industrial debt below 2,5 billion.

When asked if the ongoing investigation into FCA's diesel emissions in the US could have an impact on the accounts, Marchionne replied: “As far as I know, no”, and also confirmed the objectives of the industrial plan for 2018.

Meanwhile, today FCA and the trade union organizations FIM UILM FISMIC UGLM and AQCFR, represented by the national and territorial secretariats and by the RSA of the Pomigliano plant, addressed the aspects connected to the industrial and employment prospects, in particular relating to industrial future of the Pomigliano plant.

The union organisations, reiterating the positive opinion expressed in relation to the declarations of the top management of the last few months, however, have urged FCA to define a specific meeting where to examine all the detailed aspects connected to the investment, therefore there will be a first overall check in September 2017.

With regard to the aspects related to the renewal of the solidarity contract, the management clarified that, after a more precise verification of the use of the social shock absorber, the maximum duration of 36 months of the CDS it takes effect for the Panda area from 1 July 2016. This will make it possible to guarantee sufficient time for the entire GB Vico plant to start the investments necessary for the saturation of employment connected with the new production mission.

Also it was agreed that a repayment and/or replacement plan will be defined by September 2017 by the end of the year of the workers of Pomigliano currently engaged in a mission to Cassino, as well as more generally, new employment methods will be established for the workers who will express their willingness to continue the temporary mission.
