FCA and Volkswagen negotiate agreement on commercial vehicles

Summer of fire for the FCA group. Fiat Chrysler, already at the center of market attention both due to the interest of the Chinese Great Wall and the consequent boom on the Stock Exchange and the increasingly probable spin-off of some brands, starting with Magneti Marelli, would in fact be talking to the German Volkswagen to jointly produce some light commercial vehicles.

This was stated by sources cited by the US agency Dow Jones. Such a collaboration could include the joint construction of future versions of the Amarok pickup and the van Caddy from the Wolfsburg house.

Assuming that an agreement is reached, however, it is premature to imagine that it could pave the way for a more general agreement between FCA and Volkswagen that also concerns cars, even if the Germans would certainly like it.
