FCA, CNH and trade unions: agreement on bonuses and welfare

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and CNH Industrial have signed a framework agreement for 2017 with the trade unions FIM, UILM, FISMIC, UGLM and ACQF on the basis of which workers will be able to choose to receive, in the form of flexible benefits, i.e. welfare goods and services, part of the company bonuses, 700 or 800 euros depending on the membership level on a total bonus salary that on average exceeds 2.500 euros per year.

Through the tax relief and decontribution made available with the new legal regulations on wages paid in the form of welfare goods and services, it will be possible to increase the economic advantage of the worker.

“Furthermore we have defined – reads a joint note from the unions – that the company will pay an additional economic amount equal to 5% of the salary destined for this form of payment in favor of the members. With the agreement we have further improved the experience gained with the experimental agreement signed in 2016. Not only are the economic quantities available to the worker further increased, but also the potential usable services have been further developed (in 2016 it was possible to receive 250 euro in the form of fuel vouchers).

As soon as the provider in charge of building the 'welfare basket' usable on a specific IT platform is defined in the next few days, the detailed aspects of the entire welfare offer available to the worker will be clarified. In any case, workers will be able to use shopping or fuel vouchers, education expenses (school canteen, textbooks, summer admissions, etc.) to care services (family assistance, the elderly or non-self-sufficient), recreation (gym season tickets, training courses ), fringe benefits (public transport pass and pre-paid cards, etc.) and supplementary social security, in accordance with the provisions of art. 51 of the TUIR. After identifying the provider and in any case by January 2017, the parties will also meet to define the implementation times, which can now be assumed to start from the month of April.

"The corporate welfare of FCA and CNH Industrial - write the trade unions - thus becomes increasingly robust and the economic benefits further increase: today's agreement in fact adds to what has already been defined in the specific collective labor agreement, relating to welfare to social security and supplementary healthcare".
