Falck Renewables has brought its Kingsburn wind farm in central Scotland into operation earlier than planned. This is the tenth plant in Great Britain. The park consists of 9 Nordex N90/2500 turbines, for an installed capacity of 22,5 MW, will produce approximately 75.000 MWh of renewable energy per year and will be able to meet the energy needs of approximately 17.800 households, with CO2 savings of about 32.000 tons/year.

“Less than a month after the start-up of the Spaldington wind farm in England – commented Toni Volpe, CEO of Falck Renewables –, we are further consolidating our presence in the UK market with the start-up of the Kingsburn wind farm in Scotland. In the United Kingdom, the country where we currently have the largest installed capacity, from the first quarter of 2017 we will reach 413 MW for 12 plants. The solid relationship with local communities continues, Kingsburn, like all our plants in the UK, will also contribute to a Community Fund which will finance a series of relevant initiatives for the local community”.
