In detail, Facebook generates 1,6 billion in so-called Business stakes in Italy, since companies, especially small businesses, use the pages to promote their brand, increase awareness, generate new business and for advertising. The investments developed create 21.500 jobs in Italy alone.

In relation to the applications that gravitate around the platform and the "social activities", Facebook has favored economic activities in Italy for a value equal to 156 million, generating 2.000 jobs, while it has produced an increase in technology sales through a growing demand for devices and broadband connections up to a value equal to 778,6, 10.100 million leading to XNUMX new jobs. “Italy – says Alberto Donato, Deloitte partner and head of the Tmt sector – shows excellent economic results and employment prospects. By extending the survey to the European Union, the turnover linked to Facebook is more than 15 billion euros and jobs to over 230. The social network generates 7,3 billion in large-scale economic impacts through participation, generating approximately 111 jobs. In terms of applications it has led to a turnover of 2,2 billion and helped to create 33 jobs and on the technology front it has favored product sales of 5,5 billion and the creation of 85.300 jobs.
