Facebook: Groups arrives, the app to manage groups

After Messenger comes Facebook Groups. The social network founded by Mark Zuckerberg presented the new application for Android and Ios (free and already available on the App Store and Google Play) which will be used to manage the groups to which one is registered in the simplest and most intuitive way.

The new application will work around the hitherto impractical problem of accessing your groups from the old home screen. After installation, all you need to do is connect Groups to your Facebook account to have all your groups available right away, and in a simple and immediate way, with the possibility of also activating a notification service.

In addition to solving various problems of a practical nature, the birth of Facebook groups represents another brick in the construction of the concept of smartphone applications already stated by Mark Zuckerberg: that of unbundling. For Zuckerberg, in fact, apps must be as simple as possible and focused on a single function, so as not to create misunderstandings.

The division into different applications of the various functions of the social network would then lead to a reduction in the main application.

For the moment, groups, unlike what happened with Messenger and chat, remain accessible from the main Facebook application, even if it cannot be excluded, in the future, that users will be "imposed" to switch to Groups.
