F1, Gp Monza: Hamilton triumphs, Vettel only fourth

It was supposed to be the turning point race, and instead, as often happens in these cases, the English champion wins again this time: Vettel immediately out of the race due to a contact with Mercedes (Hamilton is absolutely innocent) and Raikkonen, for a long time in the lead, he is "slowed down" by Bottas - Hamilton to +30 on Vettel in the Drivers' World Championship.

F1, Gp Monza: Hamilton triumphs, Vettel only fourth

Again, you win next time. It really seemed like the right time for Ferrari to return to victory in the home GP, at Monza, where the acute has been missing since 2010 with Fernando Alonso, and instead, once again, Lewis Hamilton wins, who also extends in the Drivers' World Championship: now the points ahead of Sebastian Vettel, only fourth at the finish line, are 30 (they were 17 before today's race). Great disappointment for Ferrari, which was hoping for the victory of the German and possible overtaking in the drivers' championship, to be dedicated to the memory of the deceased president Sergio Marchionne. Instead, Vettel's race only lasted a few corners: Hamilton attacked him immediately and overtook him, the Ferrari champion didn't widen enough and caused a contact in which he was defeated. Immediately forced into the pits, Vettel made a good comeback race but could not go beyond fourth place.

Alternatively, Ferrari would have at least hoped to bring home the victory with Raikkonen, who took pole position on Saturday at the age of 38 and who hadn't won a grand prix since 2009, two years after being the last world champion driving a Red from Maranello. The Finn leads a very good race but unfortunately remains isolated in the grip of the Mercedes and in the end he has to succumb to Hamilton, with Bottas climbing to the third step of the podium. For Vettel, who has won three times on this circuit in the past, the hunt for a title that has been missing for Ferrari for 11 years is further complicated. Useless and even unsportsmanlike, however, the controversy over Mercedes' race management, which during the ceremony was even booed by the fans and harshly criticized during the television reports: Hamilton's overtaking of Vettel is very regular and Bottas' subsequent team play in favor of the English driver is completely legitimate. Since the world has existed, stable games have existed: for once, one could happily admit it.
