Officially revealed Ferrari SF-24, new single-seater from Cavallino for the 2024 F1 World Championship. Ferrari will also be driven this year by Charles Leclerc e Carlos Sainz, waiting for thearrival of Lewis Hamilton from next season. Second car under the orders of the Team Principal Frederic Vasseur. The debut on the track will take place on March 2nd with the inaugural Bahrain Grand Prix.
The objective is to return to winning (last year only one victory with Sainz) and aim (if the car allows it) to bother the Max Verstappen-Red Bull dominance. The SF-24 has the difficult task of putting an end to the long period without world titles for Ferrari, which has lasted since 2007 for the drivers and 2008 for the constructors. Despite the strong competition, there is optimism for an improvement in performance thanks to the frozen technical regulations, which should allow it to get closer to the performances of the Milton Keynes team.
Simple presentation
The presentation took place in Maranello with a broadcast social event on the Ferrari website and on YouTube while in recent days a countdown on profile X, accompanied by short videos, one of which showed the numbers of the two single-seaters (55 and 16), partially revealing the color of the new cars.
At the presentation of the new car there was only a small group of guests. Among those present were president John Elkann, CEO Benedetto Vigna, vice president Piero Ferrari, team principal Fred Vasseur and drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.
Ferrari SF-24: few changes, more yellow and white in the colors
The SF-24 represents the third car of the new ground effect generation introduced two years ago in Formula 1, characterized by a discontinuity in the shapes compared to the previous ones. The philosophy of the car has been maintained with some changes compared to the previous season, without upheavals: a shorter muzzle, push rod suspensions that provide high road holding, a wing similar to that of the Red Bulls and smaller section intakes than the SF-23.
Stands out Modena yellow color on the muzzle and bellies, accompanied by white stripes. The White was reinstated following last year's success of the special bodywork seen in Las Vegas, while the yellow, a traditional Ferrari colour, had not featured longitudinal stripes on the livery since 1968 and had never been paired with white stripes. The Racing Red 2024 it is the predominant matte shade of red. Black is used on the bottom of the car, on the front bulkheads, part of the halo and other details. The circles are red with a double white and yellow stripe, the same pattern as the race numbers – 16 and 55 – written in italics and in Ferrari's official font, Ferrari Sans.

Between today and tomorrow, the SF-24 will complete its first kilometers, allowing the collection of images and photographs for marketing and communication purposes. This period also offers the team the opportunity to shakedown the car and allows the drivers, after the simulations of the last few days, to have a first impression of the behavior of the single-seater on the track.
Vasseur: "most difficult championship in history"
Commenting on the launch of the new SF-24, the Ferrari Team Principal and General Manager spoke. “Presenting a new car is always a very exciting moment, both for me and for the drivers, even if we are all already thinking about when we will compete with our rivals on the track. This year we have to start again from where we left off at the end of last season, when we were consistently in the top positions. The most challenging championship in the history of Formula 1 and we agree with Charles and Carlos: we must be more cynical and effective in taking advantage of opportunities, trying to bring home points in every race and continuing to improve in all aspects."
