F1: Ferrari, presented the new single-seater

Different shades of red, but only one goal: to return to winning the Formula 1 Drivers' World Championship 14 years after the last time. The new Ferrari that will compete in the Formula 1 championship was presented with a live streaming event: the single-seater will officially debut in Bahrain with the first tests in the next few days (including the so-called Filming Day, a session dedicated to the media to collect videos and images), to then start the actual competition again on the Sakhir circuit on Sunday 28 March. The calendar, conditioned by Covid, immediately foresees a return to Europe in April, with a GP that can be considered "at home" for the Maranello team: the Emilia Romagna and Made in Italy GP will be held in Imola on 18 April , while on 12 September we return to Monza. In total there are many races: 22, with the last one even close to Christmas, on 12 December in Abu Dhabi.

To face this long season, after the disappointments of recent years, Ferrari changes one of the two drivers (Spanish Carlos Sainz in place of Sebastian Vettel) and promotes the rising star Charles Leclerc to first pilot. But above all, team principal Mattia Binotto, sporting director Laurent Mekies and technicians Enrico Cardile and Enrico Gualtieri are aiming for a completely new single-seater. The car is called SF21 (which clearly stands for Scuderia Ferrari 2021) and the first thing that catches the eye, on an aesthetic level, is the double shade of red: “The rear recalls the amaranth of the very first Ferrari, the 125 S, but as you get closer to the cockpit, it fades into the contemporary red that has distinguished our most recent vintages. For us, this is the season of many challenges and through the livery we visually restart from our history but, at the same time, we project ourselves into the future”, explained Binotto.
