The Ministry of Economic Development has published two reports on micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the context of the Small Business Act and the more recent "Destinazione Italia", a living plan to promote FDI in the Belpaese with the support of Italian and international institutions.

Export: which "Destination" for Made in Italy?

The Ministry of Economic Development has published online two reports on micro, small and medium enterprises. The first, created under the Small Business Act, provides a picture of the current situation in Italy, based on the data provided by Unioncamere. The second is instead a survey on a representative sample of 1.000 companies, with the aim of explore topics such as performance, competitiveness and knowledge of available support tools.

In this context, the Piano “Destination Italy” defines a set of measures with the aim of encouraging foreign investments in our country, both from a fiscal and regulatory point of view. It is a living documents, where based on the current version 0.5 the Government will launch a three-week public consultation involving citizens, Italian and foreign entrepreneurs, associations not only of the category, trade unions and experts, which will lead to version 1.0. The Government will monitor the impact of “Destinazione Italia” with the support of Istat, Antitrust, Consob and Banca d'Italia, as well as international organizations, without forgetting foreign investors in Italy and the internal investments of the Italian companies themselves. The results thus achieved will be evaluated by the Council of Ministers and made public. A report on “Destination Italy” and on the state of foreign investments in Italy will be presented every year in Parliament and quarterly to the Council of Ministers, on the basis of a time schedule that will take stock of its implementation status, to define interventions that overcome the critical issues and to select further lines of intervention.
