Roberto Maroni is under investigation for "illegal induction to give or promise benefits for alleged irregularities in two fixed-term collaboration contracts on projects for Expo, stipulated not by the Region but by Expo and Eupolis companies". This was announced by the Lombardy Region in a press release released in the early afternoon.
The Northern League Governor received a guarantee notice from the Busto Arsizio Public Prosecutor's Office as part of the investigation into the Expo case. This morning the carabinieri acquired some documents at the Pirellone headquarters.
"President Maroni - continues the note from his press office - was in his office, examined the documents relating to the dispute" and "made himself immediately available to the prosecutor's offices to clarify the regularity and correctness of the matter" .
