Expo 2020 Dubai: Tim partner of the Italian Pavilion

Tim joins the family of Expo 2020 Dubai: the largest event ever organized in the Arab world. The Italian Pavilion, of which the operator is the Official Platinum Sponsor, will feature the claim "Beauty unites people". Tim's task will be to equip the innovation area with the latest generation of sustainable digital and connectivity technologies through his companies: Sparkle, Telsy, Olivetti and Noovle.

In particular, Sparkle – the global operator of the TIM Group and the first in the world to enable 2019G roaming between Europe and the Middle East as early as August 5 – will provide the Italy Pavilion with international connectivity to enable the use of high-quality digital services and experiences, including streaming in high definition and augmented reality solutions. While Olivetti, Telsy e Noovle they will bring their skills by promoting talks and debates in the context of participation.

Also INWIT, the first Italian Tower Operator and investee company of the Group, will be present with an innovative installation set up right at the entrance to the Italian Pavilion: the “Venice” Smart Tower, with its 8,5 meters high in eco-sustainable materials covered with a steel weave, will help to disseminate the Pavilion's programming through LED displays.

The importance of innovation, sustainability and digitization for the recovery of the country and the global economy will be at the heart of the Tim Group's participation in the event, in line with its social, environmental and governance (ESG) commitments in the “Beyond Connectivity” strategic plan.
