Expo 2020 Dubai, Italy looking for sponsors

Italy seeks funding for the Dubai Expo pavilion. While the construction work has been assigned to the Egyptian Raq, now we have to devote ourselves to furnishing and providing services. Great delay in the works, given that the opening of the universal exposition is scheduled for 20 October and its deadline for 10 April 2021.

According to estimates, our pavilion will have around 5 million visits over the six months, thanks to its allocation, between the thematic areas dedicated to "Opportunities" and "Sustainability", near the pavilions of India, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Japan and the United States.

The deadline for the supply of the pavilion was scheduled for January 24th. However, given the great interest in the initiative, the General Commissariat of Italy for Expo 2020 Dubai has decided to extend the deadlines, until February 7th, in order to also favor small and medium-sized enterprises.

The main sponsors of the event are: Enel X, Eni, Leonardo, Fincantieri, Mapei, the Boero group and Tolo green, a Sardinian company that will take care of the air purification plant.

The announcement is aimed at all EU and non-EU economic operators, both public and private, interested in sponsoring the Pavilion in terms of services and supplies such as: furnishings, floors, computer and technical equipment for catering, sanitary ware and many more. It is possible to participate through the offer of products or money to equip the structure with all the accessories necessary to cover the 3.500 square meters of surface on almost 27 meters in height.

Italy's participation in the Dubai Expo is important to gain visibility, spread one's ideas, but above all to forge relationships in an environment where there is no shortage of business opportunities. So much so that our country has already agreed to bequeath it to the Emirates once the exhibition is over. “They expressed pleasure in making this happen pavilion becomes permanent. A nice place to demonstrate our excellence” – said Stefano Buffagni, Deputy Minister of Economic Development.
