Exor: profit doubles with PartnerRe, Nav down

The holding company of the Agnelli family which controls Fiat Chrysler, closed the first half of the year with a sharp rise. Debt worsens as a result of the acquisition of PartnerRe.

Exor, the holding company of the Agnelli family which controls Fiat Chrysler and other investees, closed the first half with net profit attributable to shareholders of 430,3 million euros, from 219,3 million in the same period of 2015. The positive change of 211 million is attributable to the increase in the share of the result of subsidiaries (267,4 million, of which 151,7 million relating to the first consolidation of PartnerRe), to the higher dividends collected (16,6 million, of which 16,1 million distributed by PartnerRe before the acquisition of control) as well as other net positive changes (€0,8 million).

The company communicates it, adding that the NAV (Net added value) as of June 30 of this year stands at 11,501 billion dollars from 13,355 billion from the end of 2015.

The group's net debt at the end of June was negative by 3,606 billion from a positive balance of 1,336 billion at the end of 2015. The increase in liabilities is linked to the acquisition of PartnerRe. Standard & Poor's long and short term rating on Exor is BBB+ and A-2 with a negative outlook.

The company expects a positive result in 2016. In Piazza Affari, after these accounts and the outlook, the Exor share yields 2,08% to 35,81 euros, testing the intraday low at 35,46 euros. Standard & Poor's long and short term rating on Exor is BBB+ and A-2 with a negative outlook.
