Exor: half-year profit jumps to 1,67 billion after sale of Sgs

Profit for the same period of last year was 168,3 million – The increase is mainly due to the capital gains realized in the period for 1,511 billion – The holding company of the Agnelli family expects to close 2013 with a positive result both at consolidated both for the parent company.

Exor: half-year profit jumps to 1,67 billion after sale of Sgs

Exor, the holding company of the Agnelli family, closed the first half with a consolidated profit that jumped to 1,671 billion compared to 168,3 million in the first half of 2012, thanks mainly to the increase in capital gains realized in the period (1,511 billion), a figure which reflects the sale of the entire stake in Sgs.

As at 30 June, the consolidated shareholders' equity attributable to the shareholders of the parent company amounted to 6,192 billion and showed a net increase of 23,3 million compared to the figure at the end of 2012.

Exor expects to close 2013 with a positive result both at a consolidated level and for the parent company. In the early afternoon, the company's stock on the stock market lost more than one and a half percentage points (-1,73%) to 26,27 euros.
