Tax evasion: Gdf searches Gino Paoli's house

Searched the house of Gino Paoli. The Guardia di Finanza carried out checks at the singer's home in search of evidence relating to alleged tax evasion. The singer, in fact, would be accused of having illegally brought about 2 million euros to Switzerland.

The investigation into Gino Paoli arose as part of the investigation relating to Carige, during which some phone calls were allegedly intercepted between the singer and his accountant Andrea Vallebuona, later arrested together with the former Carige president Giovanni Berneschi.

Gino Paoli, who is also the president of Siae, allegedly sent illegally 2 million euros to a credit institution, without declaring them to the tax authorities. The investigators, however, do not yet know the Swiss institution receiving the money: for this reason the searches were held.
