Eurostat reports that on an annual basis the number of unemployed has increased by over two million in the countries of the currency union.
After i dramatic data released by Istat on the Italian situation, Eurostat reports that the world of work continues to suffer in the Eurozone as well. Last month average unemployment among the 17 countries reached 11,7%, a new all-time high.
The International Statistical Institute counted 18 unemployed in the Currency Union, 703 more than in September (when the unemployment rate was 173%) and 11,6 more than in October 2 .
