According to Eurostat data, the index decreased in September compared to August, but growing on an annual basis – the trend is similar considering all 28 EU countries.
In September the industrial production of the 19 euro area countries, according to the seasonally adjusted index elaborated by Eurostat, decreased by 0,3% compared to August. However, the figure is growing strongly on an annual basis: again according to the elaborations of the European Institute of Statistics, it grew by 1,7% year on year.
Considering instead i 28 countries of the European Union industrial production fell 0,1% month-on-month and increased 1,8% year-on-year.
