Slightly growing economy in the last part of 2014 throughout Europe: the GDP growth rate during the fourth quarter went in the Eurozone (19) to +0,3% from +0,2% in the previous quarter and in the European Union as a whole (28) to +0,4% from +0,3%. The European figure was driven by the Germany which recorded an increase higher than expected (+0,7%)
This was announced by Eurostat, recalling that in the last part of 2013, however, the expansion rate of the cycle was much higher: +0,9% and +1,3% respectively. In 2014 as a whole, GDP grew by 0,9% in the Eurozone and by 1,4% in the EU.
