Eurozone, GDP growing in the fourth quarter

Throughout Europe, 2014 ended with a slight increase in GDP, confirming that the economic situation is moving towards improvement

Eurozone, GDP growing in the fourth quarter

Slightly growing economy in the last part of 2014 throughout Europe: the GDP growth rate during the fourth quarter went in the Eurozone (19) to +0,3% from +0,2% in the previous quarter and in the European Union as a whole (28) to +0,4% from +0,3%. The European figure was driven by the Germany which recorded an increase higher than expected (+0,7%)

This was announced by Eurostat, recalling that in the last part of 2013, however, the expansion rate of the cycle was much higher: +0,9% and +1,3% respectively. In 2014 as a whole, GDP grew by 0,9% in the Eurozone and by 1,4% in the EU.
