In Germany the preliminary figure of the PMI index of services stood at 54,4 points, a clear increase compared to 52,8 in August. The figure was higher than the 53,1 points expected by economists.
In France, on the other hand, the manufacturing index recorded a slight drop, from 49,7 points to 49,5, returning to its lowest level for 3 months.
