In May, inflation in the Eurozone fell at an annual rate of 0,5%, compared to 0,7% in April, 0,5% and 1,4% in May 2013. On a monthly basis, however , last month's change was negative by 0,1 percentage points. This was confirmed this morning by Eurosat.
Furthermore, according to data released by the European Institute of Statistics, in the entire EU the figure for May stood at 0,6%, down from 0,8% in April and 1,6% in May 2013 Monthly inflation in May was -0,1%. In Italy, the annual rate of price growth was 0,4% in May, after 0,5% in April (May 2013 at 1,3%).
