Eurozone, exports push the trade surplus

 The euro zone's trade surplus rose to €18,5 billion in September, up from €10,8 billion in the same period last year.

This was announced by Eurostat, which revised the August figure to 8,6 billion from 9,2 billion in the first reading.

Non-seasonally adjusted exports grew by 9% year-on-year in September, while imports grew by 4%.

The seasonally adjusted data indicate an increase in exports of 4,2% on a monthly basis and a cyclical growth in imports of 3,0%.
