Eurozone industrial production falls more than expected in July

Eurozone industry slips more than expected. According to the figures communicated by Eurostat, the production index recorded a monthly decrease of 1,5% in July, after +0,6% in June. The drop is decidedly worse than analysts' expectations, which had predicted a -0,1%.

As regards the Europe of the 28, the data showed a -1%, after the +0,9% recorded the previous month. On an annual basis, industrial production instead recorded a -1,7% after the zero change in June.
