Consumer confidence in the currency union fell to -8,4 points in July, below analysts' expectations, according to data released by the European Community's Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs. European remains stable at -4,3 points.

Consumer confidence worsens in the Eurozone. According to the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Community, in fact, in the month of July the flash estimate of the data on consumer sentiment stood at a value of -8,4 points against the -7,5 points recorded in the month on June. Disappointed analysts, who had expected a stable figure at -7,5.

On the other hand, as regards the entire European Union, the confidence indicator remained stable at -4,3 points in June.
