Eurozone, August consumer confidence from -17,4 points to 15,6: it is the best performance since 2011

Eurozone consumer confidence rose to -15,6 points in August from -17,4 in July. The figure is significantly higher than analysts' expectations (-16,5) and represents the best performance since July 2011.

Consumer confidence had also improved in July and had improved more than expected. The approval rating of the 17 countries that use the single currency had dropped to -17,4 points from -18,8 in June.
