In Italy, on the other hand, unemployment among 15-24 year olds rose to 38,4% (from 37,8% in February), the third worst figure in the whole area, after Greece (59,1% in January) and Spain (55,9 .XNUMX%).

The general unemployment rate in the Peninsula is stable at 11,5%. In total, there were 48,3 million unemployed in the OECD area in March, 400 less than in February, but still 13,6 million more than in July 2008. There are 19,2 million jobless people in the euro area.
