Eurozone: industrial production grows beyond expectations, +0,6% in May

La Eurozone industry production, after the -1,1% recorded in April, recovered partially in the month of May, marking a growth of 0,6% compared to the previous month. This was announced this morning by the European Statistical Institute, Eurostat. A figure that is certainly better than what analysts expected, who mostly forecast a zero change.

The comparison on an annual basis remains merciless: compared to the same month of the previous year, industrial production fell by 2,8% in May, marking a further deterioration compared to -2,4% in April.
