Increased construction production in the Eurozone. This was communicated by Eurostat, whose first estimate for the month of December speaks of growth of 0,9% over November in the euro area and 1% in the EU of 27 states. On an annual basis, construction marked -0,2% and +0,8% respectively.
Compared to November, construction in Italy increased by 1,3%, a growth that was not enough, however, to curb the fall on an annual basis, with a drop of 8,8% on December 2012.
Building construction in December grew by 0,6% in the Eurozone and by 0,7% in the EU. On an annual basis, it recorded a decline of 0,9% in the currency union and an increase of 0,1% in the EU. In civil engineering, the growth recorded was respectively 3,8% and 3,5%. On an annual basis, the increase was 1,7% and 2,3%. and -3,7%.
