Eurozone: unemployment stable at 10% in August. In the EU27 the rate is 9,5%

The value remains on the level of the highs reached following the global recession, but the total number of unemployed decreases by 38 thousand units compared to July

Eurozone: unemployment stable at 10% in August. In the EU27 the rate is 9,5%

Unemployment in the Eurozone remains stable. According to Eurostat data, it stands at 10% in August, maintaining the same level for the fourth consecutive month. The value is still close to the historical highs reached following the global recession, however in absolute terms the total number of unemployed decreased by 38 thousand units compared to the previous month. Eurostat shows that in the currency union there are a total of 15 million and 739 thousand unemployed.

Taking into consideration the Europe of 27, the unemployed rise to 22 million and 785 thousand. Also in this case the unemployment rate remained stable in August, at 9,5%.
