Eurotech received a two million dollar order for Catalyst TC embedded modules. The electronic systems will be delivered within the next 12 months a Cross Match Technologies, a US group active in the production of biometric identification systems (fingerprints, identification of the retina). On the back of this news, Eurotech stock gained around mid-morning two and a half points in Piazza Affari.
Cross Match will use microprocessors for portable devices used in national security. Eurotech has already worked in the past for the American customer who has announced that he has placed the new order due to the growing demand for biometric devices.
Greg Nicoloso, CEO of Eurotech for North America declared himself satisfied: "Bio Match products are important for many people and it is gratifying to participate in this technological challenge".
