Eurotech goes shopping in California

Eurotech, a Friuli-based company active in the research, development and production of miniaturized (NanoPC) and high-performance computers, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of the Californian Dynatem Inc. The deal will be finalized on May 31st. The American company, which has been operating in the embedded computer market since 1981 and in particular in the segment of VME, VPX and CPCI boards, achieved in 2010 a turnover of approximately 3,6 million dollars.
The Italian company will acquire 100% of Dynatem, for a total value of approximately 1,9 million dollars. The president and CEO Roberto Siagri are satisfied, underlining how “with the acquisition of Dynatem we will consolidate our presence in the United States, adding the West Coast to our geographical coverage, and we will acquire experience and know-how in the emerging VPX standard.
The long tradition of this company in VME and CPCI platforms will also give us the opportunity to create further synergies between the USA and Japan”.
The incorporation of Dynatem is part of a very specific consolidation perspective by the group based in Amaro (Udine). Last Friday Eurotech announced that it had acquired the remaining 10% of the subsidiary Advanet, of which it already held 90% of the share capital, for 257 million yen (about 2,2 million euro). In Piazza Affari, the share of the high-tech company recorded no movements (+0,0% at 12.15). An excellent result, considering that the Milanese price list loses 2,83%.

Eurotech in 2010 increased revenues by 18,8% to 99,27 million euros. Ebitda rose from 1,29 million euros in 2009 to 7,39 million in 2010 and the net result for the year improved by 36,5%.
