Eurostat: down in September construction in the Eurozone, -2,6% on year. Bad for Italy, -17,8%

On a monthly basis, construction production in the Eurozone fell by 1,8% – In Italy -8% on August, -17,8% on an annual basis – Portugal also did badly, construction grew in Slovenia, Germany and Sweden.

There was a sharp slowdown in the month of September for the construction sector, whose production on a monthly basis fell by 1,4% in the Eurozone and by 1,8% in the Europe of 27 states. This was communicated by Eurostat, which specifies that the contraction of the sector is up year-on-year basis was even deeper: -2,6% in the euro area, -5,8% in the EU27

Very heavy the Italian decline: -8% compared to August and -17,8% on an annual basis. Only Portugal did worse than Italy (13,4% and 18,2%). In September, Slovenia (+17,1%), Germany (2,7%) and Sweden (1%) performed well. Right there 
Sweden is the country that has recorded the best variation in the annual report: +4,5%.
