European Heritage Days (28 and 29 September): The programme of initiatives of the city of Bologna

After the first positive experiment started in 2023, Saturday 28 e Sunday 29 September 2024 numerous museums, exhibition spaces and cultural sites in Bologna and the metropolitan area adhere to the European Heritage Days with shared planning and communication. The activity is carried out with the coordination of the Civic Museums Sector of Bologna and the Metropolitan City, with a view to strengthening the metropolitan museum system.

Heritage on the move is the Italian theme chosen for the 2024 edition

These Heritage Days are the largest and most popular cultural event in Europe, which has been organised jointly by the Council of Europe and the European Commission since 1999 to celebrate the richness and diversity of Europe's cultural heritage, while promoting dialogue, inclusion and cross-border cooperation. They are 28 institutions adherents, 45 locations involved, 96 activities proposals including extraordinary openings, guided tours, outdoor itineraries, meetings, tastings, workshops for the younger public and initiatives for families, are the numbers of the 2024 program in the Metropolitan City of Bologna.
