Europe on the right: Meloni and Le Pen win. The Democratic Party advances, M5S collapses, FI ahead of Lega, exploits of Verdi, Renzi and Calenda below 4%

It is a Europe that goes to the right that emerges from the elections for the renewal of the European Parliament. According to the latest projections, the numbers speak for themselves. In Italy the prime minister Giorgia Meloni it drags Fratelli d'Italia to 28,9% and its is confirmed as the first ever party. As in France where the triumph of the far right of The Pen, which makes RN the first party with 32% and doubles the list of Macron, pushes the French President to dissolve the national Parliament and call new national elections.

In Italy the polarization on the wings, which characterized the entire electoral campaign, is confirmed at the polls and Meloni's boom corresponds to the good result of the Elly Schlein's Pd which reaches 24,5%.

There are three other prominent elements of the elections in Italy: 1) the strength of Meloni's government allies with Forza Italy which collects 9,1% and exceeds the Alloy which stands at 8,5%; 2) the collapse of the Five Star Movement which fell to 10,3% and the exploit of Greens-Italian Left which rise to 6,9%; 3) the rejection of both the United States and Europe Renzi and Bonino (3,9%) than of Action calenda (3,2%) who pay dearly for their incomprehensible divisions and, barring surprises in the final vote counts, do not reach the quorum of 4% and remain excluded from the new European Parliament.

The high level of abstention is striking both in Italy and in Europe, where half of the voters do not vote and risks approaching the very strong abstentionism American: in Italy 49,49% voted and in Europe just over 50%.

While awaiting the definitive results of the European elections and then those of the local elections, the political outcome of the vote in Italy is clear: Meloni is strengthened and the Government, Schlein's leadership in the Democratic Party and the left grows, the Third Pole hypotheses founder amid internal controversies.

In Europe, despite the collapse of Macron and the success of Le Pen and Meloni, the axis between the Popolari and the socialists and Ursula is confirmed von der Leyen he is running to lead the European Commission again even if the games remain open.
