The euro fell today below 1,23 against the dollar, for the first time in its years. According to Bloomberg data, it hit a low at 1,2287 before recovering to 1,2378.
The trend of the single currency is weighed down by uncertainty about the stability of the Eurozone due to Greek political instability and the difficult economic situation in Spain, but also the data released in the morning on unemployment in the Eurozone which rose to 11% in April.
