Eurizon, profit at 100 million. Banca Generali: funding is good

Eurizon closed the first quarter of 2020 with a net profit of 100,2 million but with premium income down 7% compared to the beginning of the year. These are the main quarterly figures that the Intesa Sanpaolo group's asset management company released on Thursday morning.

Banca Generali also communicated data on funding which in April "stood at 408 million - specifies a note - confirming for the second consecutive month the solid growth trend even during the emergency period due to the spread of the Covid pandemic ”. Total funding since January has therefore risen to over 1,9 billion, in line with the positive trend of the first four months of 2019.

Returning to Eurizon, the commission margin is 174,5 million and the cost rate ratio is less than 20%. Assets under management stand at 312 billion since the beginning of 2020 "due to the combined effect of markets and funding" with a drop of 7%. Net inflows for the period, the company's press release further specifies, were affected "by the exceptional emergency situation and the consequent surrenders recorded by the entire system, especially in March, and were negative by 3,8 billion euro, although Eurizon maintains a stable market share”.
