Raid of the EU Commission against companies active in the sector of derivative financial products linked to the Euribor: According to the Commission, unannounced inspections started on 18 October in several Member States.

"The Commission fears that companies violate antitrust rules prohibiting cartels and anti-competitive practices,” the statement reads. The Euribor is a reference index used by banks to fix the terms of interbank loans.
