Etruria: Boschi storm, denials raining down

It's a storm again for Maria Elena Boschi and Banca Etruria. In his latest book, the former director of Corriere della Sera, Ferruccio de Bortoli, claims that Renziana's undersecretary to the Prime Minister, Maria Elena Boschi, put pressure on the then CEO of Unicredit, Federico Ghizzoni, to help and buy the Banca dell'Etruria, where Boschi's father was vice president.

There was immediate political controversy with the 5 Star Movement which immediately asked for the resignation of Boschi, who defined that of the grillini as "yet another mud campaign": "They do this because they have to cover up their inability to clear Rome of waste but this time I'm suing them" .

A substantial denial came from the Milanese bank and the clarification that it had never received political pressure for Banca Etruria.
