Etna continues to put on a show, but today it's also scary. Ten people were injured by the explosion of one of the volcano's craters, being hit by lava material. However, none of them are in serious condition. 

The explosion was caused by the contact between the incandescent lava of the Etna flow and the snow present at an altitude of 2.700 meters. Pyroclastic material thrown far away as shrapnel hit hikers. The phenomenon, known by the experts of the Ingv of Catania, took place on the front of the lava flow, on the Belvedere of Etna, in the Nicolosi area.

In the last few days, hundreds of tourists have climbed the slopes of the highest active volcano of the Eurasian plate in order to take some photos and enjoy the unusual eruptive show that the volcano is able to offer. Here is the video.
