Frank Gentin was elected by the Commercial Court of Paris like ad acta commissioner of EssilorLuxottica. Gentin was President of the Commercial Court from 2012 to 2016 and has resolved numerous disputes between large companies, including one in the 2014 between Lvmh and Hermes.

The decision was taken, following the choice of the French shareholders to address the court to try to remedy the difficulties that are paralyzing the Board of Directors of the group, divided between advisors expressed by Delfin and the transalpine shareholders.

THE CLASH BETWEEN MEMBERS

The clash between the two partners of EssilorLuxottica, Leonard of the Elder through his company Dolphin and of its French partners, has arrived in court. They had already disagreed on the governance of their union for some time.

Leonardo del Vecchio went to the International Chamber of Commerce to report the violations of the agreement of fusion. Following this, the French decided to fight back moving it confrontation in court.

For this Essilor submitted to the Paris Commercial Court an application for the appointment of a new commissioner that manages to unblock these controversies.

Before that, the funds present in the capital had asked to include in theagenda of the assembly of 16st May next, a point regarding theenlargement of the Board of Directors to 18 members and the appointment of other independent directors. There concession it will most likely come denied as they do not have enough participation for the application for the appointment of new independent directors.
