Esselunga a record in 2014. The supermarket group led by the Milanese entrepreneur Bernardo Caprotti, who has long been involved in legal cases against his children, ended 2014 with sales exceeding 7 billion euros and predicted a plan of 2.500 hires for the next two years.
Esselunga's sales (7.013 million euros) rose by 0,8% compared to 2013, the gross operating margin was 521 million (+3,2%), thenet profit of 212 million (up by two million compared to last year), while the operating profit was equal to 335 million (+2%).
In the past year, Esselunga hired 530 people, exceeding the ceiling of 21 employees. In Esselunga, 93% of workers today have a permanent contract and 75% are full-time.
But the Milanese entrepreneur Caprotti does not want to stop and, after having crossed the finish line of the 150th Esselunga supermarket, opened in Milan, he is aiming for a program of 2500 hirings in two years.
