Ersel aims at the Albertini Syz bank

A Milanese private bank specializing in private banking and asset allocation (management of wealthy assets) is being targeted by a prestigious and strong Turin-based financial group, whose capital belongs entirely to the founder's family.

The Milanese bank is Albertini Syz, which belongs to the Swiss banking group Syz, which has controlled it since 2002 with 64,3% (the remaining 35,7% belongs to Alberto Albertini, managing director and son of Isidoro, who formed in 1952). The Albertini Syz bank has assets under management of 2,8 billion, 5 offices in Italy and 66 employees.

Aspiring to acquire control of Albertini Syz, taking it over from the Swiss group, is Ersel, a subalpine group that has been managing assets for over eighty years: as of last March 31, it had net customer assets of 14,8 billion, a consolidated shareholders' equity of 623 million and 215 employees, engaged in the various companies that form it: Ersel Investimenti, Ersel Sim, Ersel Asset Management, Ersel Gestion International Sa, Fidersel Fiduciaria, Simon Fiduciaria and Norman Fiduciaria, the latter two bought in 2015.

For Albertini Syz, Ersel is in competition with Credit Suisse, Banca Profilo and Cassa Lombarda. At the top of the Ersel group, born in the Piedmontese capital in 1936 years ago, on the initiative of Giuseppe Giubergia, is Ersel Investimenti, whose president is Bruno Argentero and deputy Antonio Scalvini. The managing director is Guido Giubergia, number one in the entire Group, founded by his grandfather and developed by his father Renzo, together with his brother-in-law Bruno Argentero.

The board of directors of Ersel Investimenti also includes Paola and Francesca Giubergia, Guido's sister and daughter respectively, as well as Daniela Argentero, Ferruccio Luppi and Mario Mauro.
